- Serve as the direct backup to the General Counsel and become a key leader within the Legal Services Department

- Advise executive leadership and business units on corporate, regulatory, transactional, and operational legal matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, lending agreements, and corporate legal documents
- Partner with Human Resources, Marketing, Lending, Investments, Insurance, and other departments to provide practical legal guidance
- Manage outside litigation counsel while protecting the organization's legal interests and minimizing risk
- Supervise legal staff while helping lead the Legal Services Department and supporting corporate governance initiatives
YOU HAVE...
- Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for reciprocity)
- 6+ years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or highly regulated industry
- Experience supporting financial institutions, banking, credit unions, financial services, or banking regulatory agencies preferred
- Previous leadership experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or legal staff
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk while supporting organizational objectives
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
